Comprehensive Eye Exams

At your appointment, Dr. Hoover will review your health history for allergies, medications, medical conditions, and family history of eye pathology. Your eye exam will include a vision evaluation, determination of eyeglass prescription if needed, full inspection of the internal and external structure of the eye, testing for glaucoma, and more. We may use a retinal scanner as an alternative to pupil dilation for difficult evaluations.

Eye Infection Treatment

Symptoms of an eye infection include redness, pain, discharge, itching, or other problems. If you suspect you have an infection, call our office for an appointment.

Post-Op Care

After you have ophthalmic surgery for cataracts or Lasik surgery, we can perform post-op checks to ensure proper healing.

Diabetic Care

In addition to affecting your body, diabetes can also affect your eyes. Diabetic retinopathy is a condition in which blood vessels in the retina become damaged. It can ultimately result in vision loss. In the early stages, you may not have any symptoms, but retinopathy can be detected during your annual eye examination.

Glaucoma Detection & Care

We test for glaucoma during your exam. Early detection of high pressure in the eyes allows us to provide early treatment. For glaucoma, we will prescribe eye drops designed to reduce eye pressure, preserve the optic nerve, and prevent vision loss.

InfantSee

This free, first eye exam for your little one, between 6-12 months of age, will test eye movement, eye health, and vision.

Specialty Lens Fitting

Some patients require special lenses, such as bifocals or astigmatism correction. These lenses must be fitted by a professional to properly correct your vision.

Contact Lens Fitting

We make sure your contacts fit perfectly and that you can insert and remove them with ease.
